165 and 287 bus patrols

Bus Patrols – Routes 165 and 287 (Abbey Wood Lane, Rainham)

Due to ongoing reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) on the 165 and 287 bus routes serving Abbey Wood Lane, Rainham, local officers have been carrying out high-visibility patrols on these services.

These patrols are conducted to:

Provide reassurance to passengers and bus drivers.

Deter anti-social behaviour through a visible police presence.

Engage with passengers, drivers, and local residents to gather information and identify those responsible.

Improve safety and confidence for those using public transport.

Work alongside transport operators to address concerns and prevent further incidents.

Anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact on the community, making people feel unsafe and reluctant to use public transport. By conducting regular patrols, officers can respond quickly to issues, offer support to victims, and help ensure that buses remain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
